My sports-mad son has his heart set on one thing.
He’s wanted one for over a year now but it’s been one of those things that we keep telling him he needs to wait until he is “just a bit older” before he can get it.
You know the conversation.
Kid: Muuuumm I really want a [insert name of technical gadget here].
Mum: Well, one day but right now you are just a bit too young.
Kid: But muuuum [insert name of the kid with everything] has one and he’s the same age as me.
Mum: Well I’m not [insert name of the kid with everything’s mum] and I think you aren’t old enough.
Kid: Well what if I ask Santa for one he might think differently?
Mum: Santa only brings things that are made for kids and these are made for grow ups.
Extremely disappointed son mutters something about worst mother in the world/ the unfairness of life/ how mistreated he is/ and sadly sulks off.
Is that conversation familiar?
It’s one we have on a regular basis.

No low-level radiation being transmitted to my child all day thanks! We don't know yet what the long-term effects of these are. Can't believe parents aren't concerned about this.
Is it any worse than walking around with any other device - phone, iPad, DS? Anything with a wifi connection has some amount of radiation associated with it's use right?
