Several outlets are now reporting that investigators have launched a criminal investigation into the boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown, Nick Gordon, as they attempt to work out how she ended up unconscious and face down in a tub of water on the 31st of January. The investigation allegedly focuses on possible foul play, reports TMZ. 

The website alleges there was a possible altercation between the couple about an hour before Bobbi Kristina was found, and that there was an alleged pattern of violence between Gordon and Bobbi Kristina.

A source close to the family also revealed to CNN that Bobbi Kristina Brown had injuries that still required explanation, though the nature of the injuries was not disclosed.

People is reporting that foul play is begin investigated, including drug use and possibly cover up to remove evidence from the crime scene.

At the time she was found she appeared to be “unresponsive, meaning not breathing, no heartbeat,” a Roswell police spokeswoman said.

Bobbi Kristina remains on life support, surrounded by her family.

The family of 21-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown — the daughter of late singer Whitney Houston — has released a statement to Us Weekly about the young woman’s condition.

“Privacy is requested in this matter,” her father Bobby Brown said yesterday. “Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

The daughter of late singer Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was hospitalised overnight after being found unresponsive in a bathtub full of water at her Georgia home.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was found face down in the tub and not breathing by her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend, police said.

Gordon performed CPR and police continued life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived and took her to North Fulton Hospital.

Police spokeswoman Lisa Holland confirmed Brown was “still alive and breathing” at the hospital. She gave no further details.

The incident comes three years after Houston, who battled substance abuse issues, drowned in a bathtub in Beverley Hills, California on 11 February.

Bobbi Kristina recently acknowledged the upcoming anniversary of her mother’s death, tweeting “Miss you mummy so much. Loving you more every second.”

Authorities said heart disease and cocaine use contributed to Whitney Houston’s death, which was ruled an accidental drowning.

Bobbi Kristina is Houston’s only child.

Brown’s father, R&B singer Bobby Brown, is a Grammy Award winner.
