Update:
Channel Ten has released a statement confirming that Bachelor Blake has ended his relationship with Sam.
Speaking to Sydney Confidential, Network 10 said “Blake has the greatest love and respect for Sam, but has made the difficult decision to end the relationship.”
Ten went on to say:
Network Ten can confirm that Blake and Sam have sadly ended their engagement. When Blake proposed to Sam in South Africa, he did so because he had genuinely fallen in love with her. He was excited to start a life with Sam and was very much looking forward to their future together.”
“Unfortunately, not all relationships are meant to be, and feelings invariably change. Once Blake returned to his everyday life, he realised that they both wanted different things from a relationship and had different priorities.”
Well…no wonder they cancelled interviews.
Bad Bachie.
Following the release of the statement Sam tweeted:
People need to stop asking why we broke up. Trust me, I’m just as in the dark as you all are.. Blake is the one calling all the shots here.

I'm a romantic at heart! I hope and pray that when the dust settles on all the media hype, that Blake will privately get back with Jessica. I dislike how so many are being disturbingly cruel towards Blake.
No one seems to respect the fact that engagement is a trial. At least he was nice enough to break it off quickly.
I always felt that Sam was acting through the series. Did anyone take note that she always spoke slowly as though she was carefully planning every word she said? If something is natural and real people just spit it out without the need to forward think. To put the cherry on top, she never said 'Yes!' to her proposal. She hesitated then came out with'100%', then when he asked again she said the same thing. 100% is not an answer and reaffirmed my suspicion of it all being an act. Most prospective brides would just say 'Yes' if it was what they really wanted.
So I have to conclude that I am proud that Blake had the courage to end it despite the public humiliation and backlash he knew he would get over it.
Please remember readers that Blake is a man, and to err is human.
Well said!
Oh no, we have all done things in our past especially when we were young that we either laugh at now and wouldn't repeat. nobody can say they have lived perfectly good lives, we have all got mischief in us . I think when Blake finally settles down with a woman he will make a great husband and father. I mean one thing I do know for sure, if I was young I would have never gone on a show like that as I really felt embarrassed for the girls, acting so desperate to get him, just goes to show how hard it is to meet someone naturally, have to be really lucky Jess really put ownership on him, and that would have frightened him off her.It was all a bit rediculos but I did watch the whole lot iI must admit.
