“We’re gonna do a lot of fun things for the first time.”
A new promo has been released for the E! Network’s up coming docu-series, “I Am Cait.”
The series will follow the journey of Caitlyn Jenner as she embarks on her new life. Jenner says the show will be a series of firsts.
“We’re gonna talk about everything. We’re gonna do a lot of fun things for the first time. We’re gonna go shopping for the first time,” she said, adding, “maybe some boy stuff, like ride a motorcycle. Because girls do that too.” Kim Kardashian has famously referred to Caitlyn as a “tomboy”, because she enjoys doing “boys things”.
In the clip, Caitlyn not only explains why she’s doing the series (“I’m telling my story”), she also goes some way to explaining how she, and so many other transgender women, feel about their pre-transition appearance.
“People don’t understand looking into the mirror and nothing seems right,” she says. “Putting on clothes that you just really don’t identify with. This is about getting to be who you really are.”
The clip closes with a powerful reflection: “It’s going to be quite a journey,” Caitlyn concludes. “We’re going to do some good.”

The money train rolls on
Why is it everyone goes on about the shallowness of this mob, yet when one of them gets a sex change we are supposed to be all supportive, yet if it was just Bruce as Bruce doing a reality TV show we would call it out for the shallow trash that it is. Just because he has had a sex change doesn't mean he has had a personality change.
Well actually he hasn't had an actual sex change so so we even know if he is genuine or is this another Kardahian/jenner stunt to make money. And before anyone goes off at me for not being supportive of trans gender people, I'm sure the vast majority of trans gender people are genuine, after all the ordinary has nothing to gain by changing sex and indeed often loses a lot such as family and friends not supporting them etc, but the Kardashians/Jenners are a different story I wouldn't put it past any of then to make something like this up to make a buck. After all he hasn't had the full surgery, he could easily play this out for all it's worth then go back to being a male when the ratings wear out.
To add to your comments, why is Caitlyn suddenly this amazing wonderful person when by all accounts, Bruce was a terrible father to his earlier children? I have said this before and I will say it again, this will make no difference at all to the transgender person living in suburbia. In the media and Hollywood, no one dares make any negative comment about any of this. In the real world, it doesn't work like that. Family members get shunned, wives and children cannot understand why their father/partner lied to them over so many years.
This is my experience as a 49 year old women who has a gay son. My husband has a gay brother and a transgender uncle. The transgender uncle is simple refered to as "sick". No one ever sees him or invites him to any family functions. He might as well not exist as far as my husbands side of the family is concerned. I have asked about him several times and get stonewalled. My son is out to me and a few friends, but will not come out to the rest of the family yet because he has seen what they are like. My side of the family (doctors/nurse) will be fine, but my husbands side are blue collar bogan types who make derogatory comments all the time about gays. That is probably why my brother in law is so firmly closeted. His own mother makes ridiculous excuses as to why he has never had a girlfriend (at 49) and I just want to shout at her sometimes that if she wasn't so narrow minded, he might just tell her the truth.
Now to my work in Early Childhood. We had a family where the father liked dressing in womens' clothing. As a result of this, the marriage broke down. His wife insisted that he not pick up the children dressed as a woman because it upset them and was making the other parents uncomfortable. This man did not make any attempt to look like an actual woman. He was the worst stereotype - satiny dresses, bad wigs - you get the idea. Now kids are brutal and other parents even more so. The kids would not talk about their dad which is unusual in itself, but the other parents started to isolate their children form the children of this family. This is what happens in the real world. People's actions affect others. If you know from an early age that you are not in the right body, I do not believe that you have the right to bring other people into it. You have a responsibility to be honest or not get married.
