Seth Rogen is a ridiculous, curly-haired comedian you might remember from big budget movies like Knocked Up and Pineapple Express.
But this is his finest work yet.
Seth appeared before a congressional committee in America to speak about the realities of Alzhiemer’s disease – a cause that’s close to his heart because his mother-in-law, Adele Miller, lives with it. He’s so moved by Adele’s plight that he started an organisation called ‘Hilarity for Charity’. Seth’s wife of one year, Lauren, sits behind Seth as he speaks candidly about her mother’s condition.
This beautiful rant manages to be hilarious, endearing, poignant, and terribly sad all at once.
Please, watch and share this video so we can give this awful, debilitating disease the attention and funding it needs.
If you can’t watch the video, here are a few of Seth’s best one-liners.
“This has nothing to do with the legalization of marijuana. In fact, if you can believe it, this concerns something that I find even more important.”
“I started dating my wife Lauren nine years ago when her mother was almost 54 years old. It was during this trip, the first time I met my now mother-in-law, that Lauren first admitted to herself and then to me that something was off with her mother,’ he said. ‘Soon after this trip at 55 years old Lauren’s mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s.

I know another comedian who did a joke routine on people with Alzheimer's disease. It didn't go over well, some of the envelops he received!
