It’s official.
One of our favourite Hollywood couples, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, are getting a divorce after 10 years of marriage.
PEOPLE reports the A-listers confirmed the sad decision in a joint statement.
“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” Garner and Affleck said.
“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.
Garner, 42, and Gone Girl star Affleck, 43, met on the the set of their 2003 film Daredevil and now have three children together.

Last year, Suddenly 30 star Garner told InStyle their relationship was no longer in the “courtship” phase — although she seemed okay with that at the time.
“You can’t expect to be courted all the time, and I don’t want to court him right now – I don’t have the energy,” she said.
“But we’re definitely in a very mindful place where we’re making an effort to be together, do things at the same time, and be loving.”

I'm confused - are they divorcing or renewing their vows?
I knooow - what more do you need in a marriage than love, friendship and a committment to the family. I really dislike those celebrity statements following a break up/divorce. If you love each other than stay together otherwise stop lying.
Hollywood marriages are a joke
Really? Granted, some are...... But Affleck and Garner were married 10 years..... many non Hollywood marriages fail to make it that long these days. I think you are generalising :-)
A decade long marriage with 3 kids isn't a joke, regardless of their jobs.
