Editor of Dolly at 21, Editor of Cleo at 25 and now co-host of Nine’s popular Today show Lisa Wilkinson is one of Australia’s best known journalists and a lovely lady to boot. Having started her career at a young age, Lisa has been in the spotlight for more than two decades, and married to Historian/Journalist/Ex Rugby player Peter Fitzsimmons, whom she has three children with. Her warmth, empathy and ability to relate to anyone makes her one of the most popular people on morning television, and we have to admit we do adore her for it- see below for the reasons why (not that you’ll need many).
1. She is not only a media trailblazer, but a mentor.
Lisa is known to have mentored some of the best in the business, including our very own Publisher Mia Freedman. From giving people their first job to spotting talent like Miranda Kerr, Megan Gale and Nicole Kidman – Lisa has a knack for seeing people’s full potential, and is willing to give her time to help them.
2. She stands up for what she believes in
Lisa has spoken numerous times about her experiences with bullying, and is heavily involved in Anti-bullying week
