Happy pregnancy news: a royal BABY IS COMING.

The Royal Family has officially announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child.

Prince William and Princess Catherine, both 32,  already have one child – George – who was born on the 22nd of July, 2013.

The new baby will become fourth in line to the throne – moving poor Prince Harry to fifth in line. The Duke of York is now sixth in line and Beatrice and Eugenie are seventh and eighth, respectively.

Some reports are suggesting Kate is eight weeks’ pregnant, but those reports are unconfirmed.

The news of Royal Baby #2 was first broken by British Prime Minister David Cameron.

He tweeted:

Kate is reportedly suffering from acute morning sickness, as she did when she was pregnant with George. She is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.

The news of Kate’s pregnancy broke back in 2013 after she was hopsitalised with the Hyperemesis Gravidarum (which you can read more about here.)

According to the official press release:

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.

The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.

And of course, some online betting agencies are already offering odds on what the new Royal Baby will be called.

Elizabeth, Henry and Victoria and all the favourites at 10/1. While Albert, Diana and Spencer are down at 20/1.

According to the Huffington Post:

If the baby is a girl, it will be the first time a great granddaughter of a still-serving sovereign has been born in direct succession on the male line since 1897, when George VI’s sister Princess Mary was born.

Congratulations to Kate, William and George.
