1. Rule number one of live tv: if the mic is on, the mic is ON.
You’ve gotta feel sorry for A.J. Clemente. The inexperienced television news anchor dropped the f-bomb or more accurately a double-barreled expletive, Fucken shit, within seconds of his first television gig.
His co-host struggled to maintain her composure after the gaffe and threw it over to him to introduce himself, Clemente who realised his mistake then bumbled his way through his introduction.
The station, KFYR, suspended him after viewers complained. After the video went viral, KFYR News director Monica Hannan responded to criticism on the TV station’s Facebook page.
She wrote: “To all of you who are writing in…I want to apologise for an incident that occurred prior to our early newscast this evening, when one of our employees used profanity on the air.
“He did not realise his microphone was on, but still, that’s no excuse.
“WE train our reporters to always assume that any microphone is live at any time.
“Unfortunately, that was not enough in this case. WE can’t take back what was said.
“The person involved has been suspended until we resolve the situation.
“All we can do at this point is ask for your forgiveness, and I can offer my personal assurance that I will do my best to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again under my watch.”
A.J Clemente took to Twitter after the show tweeting, “That couldn’t have gone any worse”. The incident sparked a trending Twitter hashtag, #keepAJ, though the station hasn’t asked him back.
2. Kim Kardashian admits she’s struggling with pregnancy. And it’s not even the paparazzi that’s making her cry.
3. Reese apologises for being an obnoxious drunk: “I had one too many”.
She was the last celebrity we expected to get arrested and jailed for drunk and disorderly conduct and now Witherspoon is hoping to redeem herself with an apology for her obnoxious ‘Don’t you know how I am?’ moment.
Witherspoon released the following statement via her rep:
“Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.
It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”

Oh, that introduction is excruciating! Poor guy, hope he finds another job soon. I can't believe they fired him for that?! Didn't a female journalist drop the F bomb a couple of years back? She didn't lose her job. They're so uptight over there.
In Australia, I think they would've laughed it off, had him apologise and given him another chance but in the States, they're a lot more sensitive about that! I learnt that the hard way when I dropped the f-bomb pretty casually and the whole room practically went silent. Whoops!
Oh God, Tara Reid attempting to get free stuff for being famous. Mate, 'American Pie' was quite some time ago, believe me, if anyone remembers you for anything, it's for getting breast implants and the subsequent nipple slip.
