“I feel like I’m in the eye of the tornado.”
They’re words from supermodel Heidi Klum, who has opened up about her divorce from Seal for the first time in next month’s edition of Elle magazine.
“I don’t want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we’re in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don’t think it’s necessary—especially for our children—to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about,” she said.
Last week in an interview with 2Day FM, Seal (who is in Australia as one of the judges for new TV show, The Voice), said he felt people deserved an explanation about the split.
“When you publicise your marriage as much as our marriage was publicised, when you renew wedding vows, when you do all those things you are giving them a picture of an ideal relationship, of a relationship that people aspire towards, so when it goes south you can’t all of a sudden take the philosophy of Celestine monk and decide to go for a vow of silence, it doesn’t really work like that.”
In an earlier interview with Ellen, he said he and Heidi “grew apart after a while.”
Last week we posted about Jessica Simpson’s cover of Elle’s April edition. According to the Huffington Post, there’s two covers for next month’s mag.

I liked what Seal said in that interivew a lot. There is such a thing as ethics in all aspects of life, including divorce. They may not be able to live up to it, but it's a good thing to try.
