So, just in case you’ve been living under a rock, we thought we’d let you know- the Royals are in town.
And sure we all care about what they’re doing, who they’re seeing, and how on earth Prince George manages to be so freaking adorable all the time.
But there’s one far more pressing concern many Aussie women have. And that’s how fast they can their hands on what Kate is wearing.
With every dress the Duchess has so far worn selling out in minutes, it’s no surprise some Aussie designers went all out in the hopes Kate would step out in one of their designs.
But it seems the cream Zimmerman dress Kate donned at the Sydney Royal Easter Show might be the only Aussie dress to be worn during this tour. According to an article from the UK press, Australian designers Scanlan Theodore and Megan Park were also asked to present designs, but their selections were regrettably declined by the Duchess at the last minute.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the email the Duchess of Cambridge’s assistant sent out read: “It was decided she wouldn’t wear it but she loved it but would like to stay in touch and consider it as a brand for the future.”
Here are the (stunning) rejected outfits:

She has chosen clean lines that are conservative and smart. Her colours are usually block with a slight twist. Is this so hard for desginers to grasp? These two are messy with strange patterns and lines that are all over the place. If you want your dress to be chosen...do your homework!!
Love the Megan Park dress, she makes the most stunning clothes.
Yes, I think that dress is beautiful too, however maybe it was presented to her like the photo, with bright blue socks, instead of styling it in a way that suited her own style? It's hard to get to the dress past the socks...
