‘Just Me Doing What My Heart And Soul Is Telling Me What To Do’
Another day, another string of Miley Cyrus headlines.
If you haven’t got serious Cyrus fatigue yet, you’ll be interested to know the 20-year-old has posed topless on the cover of Rolling Stone and opened up about the post-VMAs media shitstorm.
The cover shot shows Cyrus at the edge of a pool with slicked back hair, smudged eye makeup, chains and that ubiquitous tongue.
The accompanying feature opens with Cyrus getting a tattoo, the words ‘rolling’ and ‘stone’ on the soles of her feet because she wanted to do something different for the interview.
Of the criticism from her controversial VMA performance, she says she “wasn’t trying to be sexy.”
“If I was trying to be sexy, I could have been sexy. I can dance a lot better than I was dancing.”
“People are like, ‘Miley thinks she’s a black girl, but she’s got the flattest ass ever,'” she says. “I’m like, I’m 108 pounds! I know! Now people expect me to come out and twerk with my tongue out all the time. I’ll probably never do that shit again.”
The interview was conducted four days after the VMA performance and we know from here and here that she has done that shit again.
On trying to be “black” the Cyrus said: “I’m from one of the wealthiest counties in America … I know what I am. But I also know what I like to listen to. Look at any 20-year-old white girl right now — that’s what they’re listening to at the club.”
In the frank interview, Cyrus also reveals her tears in the ‘Wrecking Ball’ clip were not staged but it’s not what you think – it had nothing to do with her relationship breakdown with Liam Hemsworth.
“That was real,” Miley says proudly. “My dog just passed away.”

3. Congratulations to Rachael Finch.
Former Miss Universe Australia Rachael Finch has given birth to a boy.
The blue bundle of joy arrived yesterday and the 25-year-old shared the happy news in a statement.
“Michael and I are excited to announce the arrival of our first child,” Finch told Confidential.
“We are both healthy and happy and taking this moment to rest and spend time with family. We would like to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.”

5. Melissa Juratowitch wins ANTM: Get ready to measure your forehead.
Melissa Juratowitch has taken out the title of Australia’s Next Top Model, and it’s her forehead everyone’s talking about today.
The 16-year-old claims she has a “seven finger forehead,” (go ahead and measure yours, we all did) and it’s this unusual feature that won her the title.
ANTM judge Charlotte Dawson said she looks “like an alien doll” and that her “unique look and face is that extraordinary that nothing else seems to matter”.

7. Nick Carter had his first drink at the age of two and partly ‘blames himself’ for his sister’s death.
Former Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter has appeared on Dr. Phil to talk about his book Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It.
On the first time he drank alcohol he said: “Family legend has it that when I was two years old, I crawled into one of the Yankee Rebel’s liquor storage rooms where I was caught drinking for the first time.”
‘”My parents always laughed at that. I laughed too, for a while, and then I didn’t laugh at it any more.”
He discussed the recently traumatic death of his sister. Last year at only 25, Leslie Carter suffered an overdose which Carter described as “horrific” and which he felt somewhat responsible saying, “There’s definitely a part of me that did blame myself.”
No stranger to addiction himself, Carter talked about his own struggles and how he distanced himself from his sister at that time.
It was after her death that the family held blame and resentment towards him for leaving her when she was most vulnerable. He says, “I thought that was unfair. There comes a point where you have to ask yourself if you’re hurting them or helping them (by being around).”
These struggles in the family were too much for Carter to deal with and as a result he didn’t attend his sister’s funeral. He labels the whole experience as ‘toxic’ and that, “The communication is something I’m still trying to work on by going to therapy.”
