Welcome to weekend fluff, a place where you can stop trying to remember your Great-Uncle’s girlfriend’s name (place cards are too damn stressful) and start spending time with your extra-extended – read: celebrity – family.
They’ve brought lots of stories to share with you over Christmas dinner. From babies to weddings and even seriously funny viral videos, your extra-extended family are sure to keep you entertained this weekend.
1. Kate Middleton has made her first public appearances since her hospitalisation for acute morning sickness. The 30-year-old pregnant Duchess attended the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony, wearing a dark green dress by Alexander McQueen.
Later on in the week, she and Prince William threw a Christmas party for their staff. The pair hosted 27 members of staff for lunch – including members of the Household Cavalry, their press team and private secretaries – at the Bumpkin restaurant in London. Awesome. When was the last time you went to lunch with the cavalry?

2. Imagine the pressure Jessica Simpson must have been feeling before she made this ad
3. Closer to home, New Idea Magazine claims to know the father of Fifi Box’s baby.
According to the Sunshine Coast Daily:
A WOMAN’S magazine has claimed Sunshine Coast ironman legend Grant Kenny is the father of radio identity Fifi Box’s unborn child.
New Idea claims it can exclusively reveal that the leading Coast businessman, aviator and lifesaving identity is the dad, citing ‘multiple sources’.
Grant and (ex wife) Lisa (Curry) have three grown up children and recently told the Sunshine Coast Daily they remained good friends, despite their separation in May 2009.
Kenny was unavailable for comment today but in the past has made it clear he does not discuss his personal life.
Fifi revealed that she was pregnant live on her radio show, but has said that she will not disclose the father’s name.

Ok I'm prepared for backlash when I write this but I'm just gonna put it out there.
The news of Romeo Beckham launching his young modelling career at the age of ten has been received with words as 'adorable' and 'cute'. No brouha, no explanation from parents needed.
But..
When Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia, who was also ten at the time, launched her career there was criticism all round and Cindy later put a halt on the young girl modelling career, most likely due to the pressure and media backlash she received.
Same goes for Willow smith. Lots of criticism surrounding her decision to do whatever she did with her hair and yet no one talks about Gwen Stefani's boys and their mohawks and blue hair.
I feel as though sexism exists even in our kids. Our attitudes towards our kids should be the same when it comes to gender. Not cute for one then bad for the other.
It's funny, I'm sure if Victoria allowed for her daughter, Harper, to be in a fashion house campaign at the same age as Romeo. The feedback would be much the same that Cindy Crawford received.
Just saying.
Um I think you'll find that the majority of backlash for Cindy and Kaia was about the poses and clothes she was photographed in.
the only ones I have seen of Romeo he is in a trench coat - there is a world of difference
I think you only need to look at how women and girls are depicted in the media and how most men and boys are to see why there would be a backlash.
To me it doesn't seem that hard to work out - just saying.
Sorry but I'm amazed by Kate doing stuff too. When I had her condition I couldnt even sit upright without vomiting for 16 weeks.
I'm amazed too. I definitely wouldn't have been up to throwing parties or attending award ceremonies before 20 weeks pregnant. It was enough of an effort just to shower and clean my teeth.
