We have been waiting patiently for just, oh you know, TEN YEARS.
Hollywood’s royal couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, are set to star in a movie together again.
A decade after the now infamous Mr and Mrs Smith (You know, Brad and Jen, Brad and Ange, Ange vs Jen. Remember?), Pitt and Jolie will be staring in a new film called By the Sea, set for release in November this year.
Time reports the film is set in the 1970s, and follows Roland (Pitt) and Vanessa (Jolie), a married couple on holiday in a seaside town in France.
A far cry from the sexual tension and high-action fight scenes of Mr and Mrs Smith, By the Sea looks set to be a more pensive emotional journey, focusing on a couple contending with their own problems as well as the unresolved issues in their marriage.
“This is a story about a relationship derailed by loss, the tenacity of love, and the path to recovery and acceptance,” Jolie said in a statement.
As well as starring in the film, Angelina Jolie is the writer, directer and producer. In other words, she is the big time boss-lady on set and we think that’s pretty fantastic.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, it is the second major directing credit for Jolie who had box-office and critical success last year with Unbroken, which was filmed here in Australia.
