Bindi Irwin has a boyfriend, calls him "someone special".

We hope he likes animals.

Bindi Irwin is a 16-going-on-17-year-old who loves reptiles and is probably one of the toughest Australians around. And now that we know she’s got someone special in her life, we’re expecting her boyfriend has to be pretty tough, also.

The wildlife warrior/conservationist/most successful 16-year-old on earth spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her love life and said she’s got a boyfriend.

“There is someone special in my life right now, and I’m really happy with that,” she said.

“Life is wonderful at the moment.”

She also told the network what she looks for in a guy. Crocodile lover isn’t necessarily on her list, which seems a bit odd.

“He would have to be very kind and loyal,” she said.

“You’ve gotta love the outdoors. You’ve gotta be able to go camping and love wildlife and have that same passion for making the world a better place.”

Because she likes to keep everyone guessing — or because maybe she just wants some privacy, either one — she hasn’t confirmed who her special lover friend is. And because they’ve got absolutely nothing else to go on, the world’s media are just picking out every guy that she’s recently taken a selfie with and labelling him her boyfriend.

The main culprit? 18-year-old American wakeboarder/possessor of the most American name ever Chandler Powell.

Chandler recently joined Bindi’s Wildlife Warriors team, where herself and a group of ambassadors around the world help to spread the message of conservation and work toward preserving wildlife.

Wildlife Warriors was started in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin, and Bindi became involved after Steve’s death in 2006. Bindi posted a photo with Chandler, who she recruited to her khaki-loving team, two weeks ago. This obviously means they’re dating.

Because we’re big social media sleuths, we are making the assumption that Chandler is the person she’s talking about, purely evidenced by this photo Bindi posted just after her picture with Chandler.

Notice anything interesting? Aside from the ridiculously wonderful scenery, that is. Bindi’s hoodie, which she says is #TheBestHoodie, has the same logo as Chandler’s hat.

Boom. There. Solved it.

And if it isn’t Chandler, who really cares. Whoever it is, we’re happy for her. Congrats, Binds.
