What would be a nightmare for most people three dates into a fledgling romance turned out to be a dream come true for a Queensland couple who fell pregnant just weeks after meeting online.
Di Peppler, 35, was on the verge of deleting popular dating app Plenty of Fish when she received a message from 34-year-old Sean Sweeney, telling her she had “beautiful eyes”.
The Atherton nurse and Innisfail engineer instantly hit it off and after several weeks of non-stop chatting decided they ought to meet.
“It was just so easy,” Peppler told the Daily Telegraph about the couple’s first date. “We were both attracted to each other, but not in a way that made me feel nervous.”
The pair talked for nearly five hours on that first meeting and by the third date had slept together.

A few weeks later, Di took a take home pregnancy test and discovered she'd fallen pregnant, despite having taken the morning after pill.
"I just gasped," she said.
"Like, ‘Oh, my god, what am I going to do? I’ve only seen this guy a few times. He’s going to do a runner. Of course he is.’"
Di was sure she wanted to keep the baby, but had no idea how Sean was going to react.

Sounds like all those poor women that "take" the pill and get pregnant anyway. Just bad luck I guess... pffffffffffffffffffft
She let an almost stranger come inside her. And she is a nurse. It just shocks the shit out of me that not using protection has become the norm. Is it because most STI's are easily treatable and HIV is now no longer an automatic death sentence that it once was? Need safe sex campaigns to come back!!!!!!
And men, do they trust women they just met - esp in their 30s and 40s - saying they take the pill or will 'handle it'?
Is it not simply good enough to get sex and get so early that they also feel like they have to forgo a condom? If I were a man I'd be worried this stranger might want to all pregnant.
If a partner (male or female) is willing to have unprotected sex upfront, right after meeting, then assume they have done this all along with previous dates.
