Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are really over this time, it seems.

Ever since they got married in a definitely-not-low-key ceremony in 2008, gossip magazines have delighted in crying divorce. But this time it seems legit.

Mariah and Nick have been separated for months, living in different houses in New York.

Usually, that sort of information comes from a “source” or an “insider”. But this time, it came from Nick Cannon himself.

“There is trouble in paradise,” Cannon, 33, told some TV show in the states called The Insider. “We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

Then, he said nobody had cheated and that the kids are their main priority. Which is delightful.

So. Sad as it is, we hope this means Mariah is working on another album. And that Nick Cannon is working on another…. Step in his ambiguous career that we don’t really know much about or care to find out.
