5 things you need to know about Lupita's brother Peter Nyong'o.

From her Oscar-winning performance in 12 Years a Slave to this inspiring acceptance speech, and her ability to top best dressed lists every time she steps on a red carpet, Lupita Nyong’o has won a place in our hearts this award season.

And now, so has her brother.

Peter Nyong’o has been accompanying his famous sister on the awards circuit, but it was his standout performance as Best Brother in a Supporting Role at the Oscars that really got us over the line.

When Ellen whipped out her Samsung and asked all the A-Listers to jump in to what is now the most retweeted photo of all time, there he was rubbing shoulders with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Bradley Cooper.

Because YOLO.

Lupita was on Ellen’s TV show the following morning, and Degeneres said of her brother’s photobombing moment of glory: “Your brother is very famous now. You can see him more than just about anybody (in the picture).”

“That was his win for sure. He got into the most famous selfie in the world. I am glad I could have facilitated that,” said Lupita.

Sorry J-Law, but these two are fast becoming my new imaginary BFFs.

You get a sense that these two are just so grateful and gracious about the trajectory their lives are taking. Their joie de vivre is infectious to watch – even from a distance.

But who is Peter Nyong’o? What does he do apart from photobombing? Here’s what I uncovered, mostly from stalking his Instagram account.

1. He’s a student.

When not attending the Oscars, the 20-year-old is studying at the Stetson University in Florida. Apparently he’s yet to select a major.

Side note: Peter and Lupita. Lupita and Peter. How cool are their parents?

2. He’s Lupita’s biggest fan.

After Lupita’s Oscar win he said, “Feeling quite lost at the moment… Can’t even imagine how the Oscar winner must be feeling like… #surreal #dreamin goutloud.” Take a quick peek through his Instagram account and you’ll see it’s mostly images of his now famous sister with proud captions, and the nicknames he’s given her, ‘Princess Luppy’ and ‘Lupiterella’.

Adorable.

3. He’s got friends in high places.

Not only does Lena Dunham think he should have his own show, apparently Angelina Jolie insisted on having her photo taken with him.

He uploaded a shot of Brangelina at the Oscars with the caption, “Pretty cool Brangie selfie huh? #oscars break. She insisted on taking it :)”

4. He can dance.

When he learned of Lupita’s Oscar nomination he uploaded a video of himself dancing to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” captioning it, “LOVE LOVE LOVE MY SISTER! #HAPPY CLAP ALONG IF YOU FEEL LIKE HAPINESS IS THE TRUTH!! @lupitanyongo GOING TO THE OSCARS.”

5. His life motto is YOLO.
