Channing Tatum has confessed that he lives as a ‘high-functioning alcoholic’.
High-functioning indeed: the 34-year-old actor/father/babe has filmed four movies back-to-back in the past year as well as writing the sequel to Magic Mike and raising a baby girl with his childhood sweetheart and wife Jenna Dewan.
Tatum’s constant multi-tasking of mega fame and family privacy has led him to lead a fractured, intoxicated kind of life. And, ironically, he told journalist Chris Heath at GQ all about it over a few drinks at a little pub at the foot of the Hollywood hills.
“I probably drink too much, you know,” he told Heath. “My wife, that’s what she bought into… I’m probably a pretty high-functioning, I guess, you know, I would say, alcoholic, I guess. There’s probably a tendency to escape. I equate it to creativity, and I definitely equate it to having a good time.”
The 22 Jump St actor has previously spoken about his fondness for junk food, though that’s arguably a lesser addiction. This is the man who called himself ‘fappy’ meaning he was ‘fat and happy’.
This is what he had to say about his favourite hobby, eating: “I really do love it [food]. It’s terrible and it’s bad, but I really do think it’s because I have an inner fat kid in me. I can completely lose myself into just absolutely satisfying things — a really amazing cheeseburger, a pizza, good fries, a beer. I enjoy being comfortable and eating whatever the hell I like.”

His terrible spray tans that he has been sporting recently don't make me fappy, he looks like a young Michael Douglas with that terrible, patchy, orange tan.
It's no good Channing, it's no damn good!
I just want to add that I am a 'functioning' alcoholic and have been for over 10 years!
I work in marketing and no one knows of my problem. Everyday I shower and wear clean pressed clothes to work. I struggle to do these simple things. I drink two bottles of champagne every night. The only thing is that I have put on 20kg - which is acceptable in this day and age of many being overweight. I tried AA on and off over many years. I wanted to share this to let others know that AA is NOT the only way.
Not many people know that many are actually leaving AA in droves and going to smartrecoveryaustralia.com.au.
