How much would it suck to be another parent at Blue Ivy Carter‘s Los Angeles primary school?
If my mum had ever turned up to my school dressed in a tiger-print, sequinned mini dress and attempted to climb on stage, I’d have called in reinforcements to neutralise her.
However, when the mother in question is Beyonce, this kind of behaviour is cause for celebration – and commiseration among other, less gifted mothers.
Watch it and weep… Post continues after video.
Not only would there be no competition as to whose ensemble rocked it better at the school gates, but you’d also have to put up with your children asking why you didn’t put on a charity concert at school, and how come you aren’t capable of belting out a brilliant rendition of Whitney Houston doing Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You?
This is Yonce’s first performance since her Chris-Martin-overshadowing turn at the Superbowl.

My sister has given birth to 5 gorgeous children. One of these kids passed away at the age of 7 days due to a heart condition. By that age, he had already undergone several surgeries in an attempt to repair his tiny, damaged heart.
Two of these kids have grown into sweet, intelligent and caring young women, one is handsome, athletic young man.
Her youngest kid was also born with a serious heart condition, he has fought against this his whole life, and at the age of 3, is a rambunctious young fella, full of life and mischief. Unfortunately due to his medical conditions, he has pretty much zero immunity and can be sent to hospital for the slightest illness. He takes this with unbelievable strength and courage, and melts the hearts of all who come into contact with him.
Her partner also has several kids, well, 3 of them are young adults. In total, she cares for 6 'children' as well as her partner.
They are not well off, he works very hard to provide for his family. She does what work she can to help support them financially, but the young fella takes a lot of effort to look after, so she can't work full, or part time.
Despite having plenty of health problems of her own, my sister gets out of bed everyday, puts on a happy face, and works her ass off to care for her family.
If we're voting for "World's most awesome Mum", then I would nominate my sister, above and beyond anyone else I know.
I realise that this story is supposed to be a light hearted article about Beyonce, but when I saw that headline, I could only think of my sister, and what she contributes to the world, and in particular her family.
She sounds awesome and well deserving of the title. Best of everything to her.
anon - obviously your sister is lucky to have you in her life. Blessings to you both xx
