Men have laid themselves bare on an incredible Reddit thread that began when user Keetek posted the question:
What aspect of a man’s life are most women unaware of?
What followed was thousands of contributions by men who were happy to share intimate details of their lives. It was eye-opening and also so incredibly emotional. These amazing men covered everything from why they put their hands down their pants when resting to how they too crave emotional support.
What we learned about men from Reddit:
Men would sometimes like women to make the first move.
They don’t know why they leave their hands down their pants. They just do. It has nothing to do with self-pleasure.
Men would like to be told they are handsome.
Going up and down stairs quickly is just their thing. No, they are not falling, or racing, or trying to annoy neighbours.
Men want to be desired and sexually wanted:
I had an ex that was horrible, she’d complain about me not making it apparent enough and then she’d complain about me making it too apparent. She’d hate if I was too spontaneous but would then accuse me of being too predictable.
Meanwhile, she only twice ever told me I was sexy or that she really wanted me… And that was exclusively in the first month. After a while it was only ever me pursuing her, and her not even bothering to care about pursuing me.
After a year and a half I realized how low my self esteem had fallen in that regard and started to emotionally disconnect from her.
When interacting with girls during school and they say “ew yuck”, that has a negative impact on men later in life.
Men try and carry everything in from the car in one go because they want to get it over and done with, not because they are trying to prove how strong they are.
Men crave more emotional support.
Some boners are just random.
Sometimes they just want some time alone. It doesn’t mean they don’t love you.

So women want honesty in men, judging from some of the comments on here, not really
From my experience as a man, women rarely give compliments about how they find you attractive or sexy, yet expect much of that in return. And the whole male body eww thing (done to death by younger girls and the media generally) does wear thin and starts to hit home on self male image.
